North Carolina Region Sports Car Club of America Awards

Thanks to a combined regional effort of members across communities, the NCR-SCCA high school scholarship program was formed in 2020. Members donated hours driving countless miles to collect the donations that support this scholarship opportunity for high school students. Primary funding came from two key sources; SCCA members and VIRginia International Raceway.

SCCA members (Individual Donors) With a passion for helping others, the members raced to support the program and continue to provide much-needed funding to ensure the program continues for years to come.

VIRginia International Raceway (Corporate Sponsor) VIRginia International Raceway showed support by providing wood slabs of the iconic racing landmark, the “Oak Tree”, that once stood at Turn 12 (Oak Tree Turn) within the historic track as auction items. These slabs have been immense fundraisers for the scholarship program.
